Indicator (from NECF):
“Designs purposeful learning experiences that provide opportunities for students to build new knowledge and skills, including through teaching them explicitly.” National Educators Competency F…

Evidence:
Lesson Plan

Description:
This evidence includes a lesson plan that I designed and implemented during my teaching practicum. The lesson was structured to support children’s learning through clear learning intentions, engaging activities, and opportunities for participation. The lesson plan demonstrates how teaching and learning experiences were organised to help children develop new knowledge and skills.

Evidence 2: Classroom Activity

Element:
Enacts Pedagogic Practices

Indicator (from NECF):
“Stimulates students’ thinking through employing effective questioning strategies and providing students with opportunities to engage in regular conversations about learning.” National Educators Competency F…

Evidence:
Learning Activity / Classroom Activity

Description:
This evidence shows a classroom activity implemented during the lesson to support students’ engagement and participation in learning. During the activity, students were given picture cards representing different words such as king, kite, and key. The teacher pronounced a word aloud, and students were asked to identify the correct picture by raising the matching card.

This interactive game encouraged students to listen carefully, think about the word they heard, and connect it to the correct image. Through this activity, students actively participated in the lesson and practiced recognising familiar words while engaging in a fun and collaborative learning experience. The activity also supported students’ memory and vocabulary development as they repeated and recognised the words during the game.

Evidence 3: Assessment Tool

Element:
Integrates Effective Assessment Practices

Indicator (from NECF):
“Uses different types of assessment to inform planning and practice that meets students’ needs.” National Educators Competency F…

Evidence:
Individual Student Assessment (Observation Sheet)

Description:
This evidence shows my participation in conducting individual assessments with students during the term exams. I supported the mentor teacher by assessing students one by one in different subjects, including English, Mathematics, and Science. During the assessment, I asked students questions, observed their responses, and recorded their performance.

This process helped me understand students’ levels of understanding and identify areas where some students needed additional support. Conducting individual assessments also allowed me to observe students’ learning closely and reflect on how assessment results can inform future teaching and learning strategies.
